Man first appeared in the microregion of Litovelsko already in primeval times.
In the stone age, meaning 300 000 to 10 000 B.C., when the massive continental icebergs interfered with the neighboring region in northern Moravia, the region was covered of vegetation. As climate got warmer in the 6th millenium B.C., the first agrarians arrived. Since it has become the main source of livelihood and more of a settled lifestyle, the soil quality played a major role as far as inhabitants' settlement in the region goes.
Litovelsko’s region’s community is typical in the inhabitants’ agrarian practices till today, but its industry continues to develop as well, particularly in elaborating agrarian products and specializing in the production of agrarian needs and machines.
